About

Ryan Wiley is a native to Shelby County, Tennessee and has been licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee since 2009. During that time he has represented countless defendants charged with state and federal crimes, first while in private practice from 2009 to 2016, and later from 2018 to 2023 with the Shelby County Public Defender’s Office. Building on the research he undertook as a public defender, he taught trainings and CLE courses on bail, the collection of court costs and fines, contempt, and the due process implications of courtroom procedures related to these areas.

A core principle of due process is the right to be heard and to challenge a governmental taking of your property or liberty. The damage from such a taking can be significant, and the avenues to challenge aren’t always apparent. This can especially be true for people experiencing financial difficulty or who are otherwise marginalized. The Wiley Law firm exists to help clients when they want to be heard and nobody’s listening. Call 901-305-3423 or email here if you or a loved one needs to be heard.
